This was my third attempt at this kind of photography. What sparked my idea to try this photo shoot was stumbling onto several portrait and model shots of young actresses. A Natalie Portman photograph had sparked an idea and had my mind rolling with images and styles that I wanted to try.

So my second summer in Berkeley, and my first internship in San Francisco, with the free time I had on the weekends, I decided to try my ideas and see what I could do. But my first goal before setting a date was to find a somebody to model for me.

I was able to convince my friend Julie to model for me. She was also enthusiastic on her part about it. Finally getting it all together, we spent a few hours in Tilden Park in Berkeley, shooting 6 rolls of film with an attention-grabbing setup. And below are the results of our experiment.

By the way, thanks Julie for your time and all your help!
