This was my first attempt at shooting portrait or model photography. This was shot during my first summer in Berkeley. Actually, it during my first summer in California. A lot of the ideas were borrowed from magazine, especially the ones with glamour shots. Many of my ideas come from these types of magazine.

I guess a lot of people find it weird when I'm sifting through a Glamour or Bazaar magazine at Safeway. One, I'm too cheap to buy them. Two, they're a great source of ideas and style. And three, it's bad enough that I'm looking through the magazine, I don't need to be buying them. Honestly though, they're a wonderful place to fuel ideas. For those who are looking to improve their photos, there's nothing better than the photos done by the pros in those magazines.

I have to give big thanks to my friend Jane. She was gutsy enough to let me shoot her photograph. It was her first time modelling too. It was fun and thanks Jane!
